Martin is famed as having the safest hands in soccer. He stands behind the goal to prevent the ball from getting past him. Nick-named 'Fingers', Martin understudied Peter Shilton's dustbin for 3 years, and is determined to prove himself as a goalkeeper.

In his best performance this season, Martin did nothing during the first half, but within 5 minutes of Colin coming on as a substitute he was called upon to earn his pay saving back passes.

Martin recently discovered that he is allowed to come off his goal line, a fact that has revolutionised his game.

He now stands at right wing.
